Realising a Dream
Azul Guesthouse has been created by two hard-working brothers who share a passion for life by the ocean. Bohcine, the eldest is a carpenter specialising in traditional Berber woodwork, Hucine, the youngest of the family’s seven brothers, seemingly fell into the ocean before he could walk, he is now Azul’s head surf coach/ guide. Originally from Taghazout and animated by the Moroccan ‘savoir-vivre’, Hucine recently opened his “beach house” as he likes to describe it. “Azul is a place of life, rest, sharing”. Days flow, the energy is authentic, homely, playful and restorative. Wood, comfort, oriental scents, an open kitchen and delicious homemade dishes aplenty. Some come to spend holidays; others to retreat. Energise with morning yoga, or surf at dawn; Azul is your home-from-home, where you can play out your desires! On the roof terrace, we drink tea, create art/ music, ping pong, watch the ocean, the sunsets, practise yoga and then … we project a film under a star-filled African sky, a perfect end to a beautiful day. At Azul you are welcomed into a local Berber family, the region has no secrets for them, they look forward to sharing the many delights on their doorstep with you. For all surfers!
